Whole grain soda bread with seeds

This “Whole Grain Seed Soda Bread” recipe is a perfect alternative to store-bought bread, which often contains too much salt, sugar, and preservatives.   • 450g wholemeal flour, plus some flour for dusting

  5. Leave for 5 minutes (this allows the liquid to be absorbed by the bran).
  6. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and shape it into a round shape about 18cm in diameter.
  7. Be careful not to overwork the dough as it will still be very sticky. Treat it like scone dough and not bread dough.
  8. Lift the dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
