Health Benefits of Turkey Meatballs Korma
Health Benefits of Turkey Meatballs Korma
Turkey Meatball Korma is a delicious and nutritious dish that combines the lean protein of turkey with the exotic flavors of korma paste. Not only is it a tasty meal but it also offers several health benefits.
1. Lean protein source
The ground turkey used in the recipe provides a significant amount of lean protein. Protein is essential for the growth, repair and maintenance of body tissue. It supports muscle building and supports a healthy immune system.
2. Little fat
Using ground turkey instead of beef or other fatty meats will help reduce the fat content of the dish. This makes turkey meatball korma a healthier alternative for those who want to limit their fat intake but still enjoy a tasty meal.
3. Good source of vitamins and minerals
The addition of onions, snow peas and cherry tomatoes in the korma provides important vitamins and minerals. Onions are rich in antioxidants and contain vitamins C and B6. Sugar snap peas are rich in vitamins A and C as well as fiber. Cherry tomatoes are a good source of vitamin C, potassium and lycopene, a powerful antioxidant.
4. Benefits of Coconut Milk
Using low-fat or light coconut milk gives the dish a creamy texture and taste. Although coconut milk is high in calories, it contains medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which are metabolized differently in the body than other fats. MCTs are quickly converted into energy, making them less likely to be stored as fat.
5. Nourishing chicken broth
The chicken broth used in the recipe not only enhances the flavor but also provides additional nutrients. It contains important minerals such as calcium, phosphorus and magnesium, which are vital for bone health.
