Ingredients
- 450 g salmon fillets or firm white fish, e.g. B. Cod
- 1½ tbsp finely chopped fresh ginger root
- 3 tbsp finely chopped spring onions
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp peanut oil
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- a handful of fresh coriander sprigs for garnish
Preparation steps
- Pat the fish dry with kitchen paper
- Cut the fish into very large pieces
- Place the fish in a heatproof bowl
- Sprinkle the ginger evenly over the fish
- Wrap the dish tightly in cling film
- Chill the dish in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 hours
- Place the bowl with the fish in the microwave
- Cook the fish at full power for 3-5 minutes, depending on the thickness and desired degree of doneness
- Remove the bowl from the microwave
- Wait a minute and pour off any excess liquid that may have accumulated on the plate
- Scatter green onions over the fish
- Add light and dark soy sauces to the fish
- Heat the two oils together in a small saucepan until very hot
- Pour the hot oil over the fish
- Scatter a handful of coriander sprigs over the mold
- Serve the steamed salmon immediately
