Preparation steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/170°C fan/gas 5.
  2. Lightly grease a shallow baking dish (approx. 20 x 30 cm).

  5. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs.
  6. Gradually add the eggs to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing well with a wooden spoon after each addition.

  9. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan or mold.
  10. Place the pears in the chocolate dough.
  11. Place the chocolate on a board and use a large knife to cut it into 1.5cm pieces.
  12. Spread the chocolate chips over the dough.
  13. Sprinkle with almonds if desired.
  14. The pudding can be frozen at this point.
  15. Bake in the center of the oven for 30 minutes or until the mixture is crispy on the surface and lightly cooked on the inside.
  16. Don’t bake for too long, otherwise the cake will become soggy rather than sticky in the middle.
  17. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
