  11. Pour the coconut milk into the pan, using the same amount as the liquid already present.
  12. Cook the coconut milk until it forms a thick, syrupy mixture, about 4 minutes.
  13. Add the mussels and vegetables back to the pan and drizzle with a little oil.
  14. Shake to mix everything together.
  15. Take a sheet of non-stick baking paper and place it in a deep medium saucepan.
  16. Add half of the mussels and vegetables and one star anise.
  17. Lift out the paper and twist the top to create a wallet.
  18. Tie the bag with a string and make another bag.
  19. Place the bags in a large baking dish or roasting pan.
  20. Bake briefly in the oven for 3-4 minutes until the top of the paper begins to burn.

Health Benefits of Seafood Papillote

The seafood papillote dish not only offers a delicious combination of flavors and textures, but is also full of health benefits. This article explores some of the key ingredients and their nutritional benefits.

olive oil

Olive oil is a staple of Mediterranean cuisine and contributes to the heart-healthy benefits often associated with this diet. It is rich in monounsaturated fats, which may help lower bad cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.

Both red and green onions are included in this recipe, which provide a number of health benefits. Onions are rich in antioxidants, particularly quercetin, which may have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. They also contain prebiotic fiber, which promotes a healthy gut microbiome and supports digestion and immune function.

Fennel bulbs add a unique flavor to the seafood dish papillote and provide several health benefits. They are an excellent source of vitamin C, which boosts the immune system and supports collagen production for healthy skin. Fennel also contains potassium, which contributes to heart health and helps regulate blood pressure.

Ginger adds a touch of spiciness and numerous health benefits to this seafood recipe. It has been used for centuries to aid digestion, reduce inflammation, and relieve nausea. Ginger also contains gingerol, a powerful antioxidant that may have positive effects on brain health.

Lemongrass is a popular ingredient in many Asian cuisines and offers several health benefits. It contains compounds such as citral, which have been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Lemongrass can also help lower cholesterol and regulate blood sugar levels.

Cilantro, also known as cilantro, not only adds a vibrant freshness to the dish but also offers numerous health benefits. It is rich in antioxidants and has been studied for its potential antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Cilantro can also aid digestion and support healthy skin.

Mussels and king prawns

Both mussels and tiger shrimp are excellent sources of lean protein. They are low in calories and rich in essential nutrients such as vitamin B12, selenium and zinc. These nutrients are important for supporting immune function, promoting brain health, and maintaining healthy skin.

Coconut milk

Using coconut milk in this recipe provides a creamy texture and subtle tropical flavor. Coconut milk is a good source of healthy fats, especially medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). MCTs are easy to digest and can be used as a quick source of energy. Coconut milk also contains lauric acid, which has antimicrobial properties.
