Ingredients
- 500g pack of bread mix
- 8 sausages
- 2 x 420g cans of baked beans
- 140g cheddar, grated
- 1 egg, beaten

Bake in the hot oven for 10 minutes until piping hot.
Preparation steps
- Prepare the bread mixture according to package directions.
- While the dough is rising, prepare the filling.
- Skin the sausages and form the meat into small meatballs, about 6-8 per sausage.
- Heat a large deep frying pan and brown the sausages. You may need to do this in batches.
- Once everything is brown, return to the pan and add the beans.
- Mix everything together and then let it cool a little while you roll out the dough.
- Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas 6.
- Grease 2 or 3 large, flat baking sheets.
- Divide the dough into 12 parts and roll each dough into a circle about 17cm in diameter.
- Cover the remaining dough balls with oiled cling film or a damp tea towel.
- Fill each circle one at a time with a scoop of bean mixture and some grated cheese.
- Fold in half and press firmly to seal.
- Pinch the edges together and then place on an oiled baking sheet.
- While you prepare the rest, cover it with oiled cling film.
- Brush with a little beaten egg and cook for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and risen.
- Remove and let cool slightly on a cake rack.
- Eat warm or at room temperature.
- If you want to freeze the pies, let them cool completely and freeze in a single layer on a flat, well-covered tray.
- Once frozen, transfer to a freezer bag and seal tightly.
