1. Rhubarb: Good for digestion and weight control

Rhubarb is a low-calorie and high-fiber vegetable. This combination helps maintain a healthy weight and promotes better digestion. The fiber content can aid digestion by preventing constipation and promoting regular bowel movements.

2. Orange peel: Immune booster and vitamin C

The finely grated orange peel gives the muffins a refreshing citrus taste. It is also a good source of vitamin C, which is known to boost the immune system. Adequate intake of vitamin C can help protect the body from various diseases and illnesses.

3. Sour cream: Calcium for healthy bones

The sour cream used in these muffins provides a creamy texture and adds a tangy flavor. It is also a rich source of calcium, an essential mineral for maintaining strong and healthy bones. Calcium is particularly important for building bones and preventing diseases such as osteoporosis.

4. Self-raising flour: energy and B vitamins

In addition, it is a good source of energy through carbohydrates and is often enriched with essential B vitamins. B vitamins play an important role in maintaining overall health, supporting metabolism, and promoting proper brain function.

5. Devon Custard: Good source of protein and calcium

The finished thick Devon pudding not only gives the muffins a creamy and delicious taste, but also provides useful nutrients. It contains protein, which is essential for muscle growth, muscle repair, and overall body function. In addition, custard is another source of calcium and promotes healthy bones and teeth.
