- 375g pack of puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg, beaten
- 175g marzipan, chopped
- 3 peaches, halved, pitted and thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp flaked almonds

Almond sundae for 6 people. Crumble 250 g of marzipan into 1 liter of soft, good quality vanilla ice cream. Return to tub and then freeze for at least 1 hour. Fill the bottom of 6 ice cream cups with your favorite fruit, top with a scoop of ice cream, some whipped cream and 1 tablespoon of sliced almonds.
Preparation steps
- Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas 7.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut in half horizontally.
- Cut each half into 3 parts.
- Place the dough sheets on a baking sheet.
- Use a knife to mark a 1cm wide edge at a time – be careful not to go through the entire edge.
- Prick the edge with a fork.
- Brush everything with beaten egg.
- Bake for 10 minutes until the dough is golden brown and slightly risen.
- Distribute the marzipan evenly among the dough squares.
- Spread the peach slices in a fan shape on the marzipan.
- Sprinkle almonds on top.
- Place the slices back in the oven for 10 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
- Serve with a dollop of crème fraîche.
