Salmon is an excellent source of high-quality protein, essential for muscle repair and growth. It is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, especially EPA and DHA. These fatty acids are associated with numerous health benefits, including:

  • Support heart health by reducing inflammation and improving blood lipid levels.
  • Promote brain health and reduce the risk of cognitive decline and mental disorders.
  • Protects against certain types of cancer and reduces the risk of diseases such as diabetes and asthma.
  • Providing essential nutrients for healthy skin, hair and nails.

Leeks are in the same family as onions and garlic and are full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Here are some of the health benefits of including leeks in your diet:

  • Leeks are rich in fiber and can aid digestion and promote a healthy gut. Fiber also helps regulate blood sugar levels and keeps you feeling fuller for longer, which can be beneficial for weight management.
  • Contains antioxidants such as polyphenols and flavonoids, which may reduce the risk of chronic diseases, including heart disease and certain cancers.
  • Contains vitamins A, C and K, which play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy immune system, promoting collagen formation and supporting bone health.
  • Contains minerals such as iron, manganese and folic acid, which are essential for red blood cell production, energy metabolism and fetal development.

Petits Pois and crème fraîche

This recipe also contains petits pois (green peas) and crème fraîche, which add texture, flavor and additional nutrients to the dish. Green peas are a good source of vitamins A, C and K, as well as fiber and antioxidants. Crème fraîche adds a creamy and tangy touch to the dish and is a source of calcium and beneficial probiotics.

Finally, adding fresh tarragon not only adds a pleasant aroma and taste, but also offers potential health benefits. Tarragon contains essential oils that are traditionally used to promote digestion, reduce inflammation, and support overall health.
