  • 500g strong white bread flour
  • 7 g packet of Easy-Bake dry yeast (or 2 tsp quick dry yeast)
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp softened butter
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 100g sliced ​​roasted peppers
  • 85g chopped Camembert
  • 20 small black olives
  • a handful of rocket leaves
  • a good pinch of oregano

Preparation steps

  1. Mix flour, yeast and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Make a dip in the center of the flour and, using a round-bladed knife, pour in almost 300 ml of lukewarm water and 1 tbsp of olive oil.
  3. Mix in enough remaining water until the mixture forms a soft dough.
  4. Form the dough into a ball with your hands.
  5. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Cover the dough ball with an inverted, clean, large glass bowl and let stand for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  7. Gently knead the dough a few times to remove any air bubbles. Then form a ball and let it rest, covered, for 10 minutes.
  8. Cut the dough into 10 even pieces and shape each into a ball.
  9. Place the dough balls on parchment-lined baking sheets, cover with a clean, dry tea towel, and let rest for 40-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  10. Use your fingers to make a wide indentation in the center of each roll.
  11. Scatter the roasted peppers, cheese and olives into the wells and press firmly.
  12. Top with arugula and drizzle with most of the remaining oil mixed with dried oregano. Season.
  13. 20 minutes before baking, place a roasting tin in the bottom of the oven and preheat the oven to 230°C/210°C fan/Gas 8.
  14. Carefully pour about 250ml of cold water into the roasting tin and then lower the heat to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7.
  15. Bake the buns for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  16. Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
  17. Drizzle some additional olive oil over the baked rolls.
