Eyeball noodles with its unique combination of ingredients not only satisfy your taste buds but also provide numerous health benefits. From the nutritious cherry tomatoes to the refreshing basil to the protein-packed mini mozzarella balls, each component helps boost your overall well-being. Let’s dive into the health benefits of this delicious dish:

1. Cherry tomatoes

The 100g of cherry tomatoes in the eyeball pasta recipe provide a rich source of vitamins and antioxidants. These small, bright red fruits contain high levels of vitamins A and C, which support a strong immune system and promote healthy skin. Additionally, tomatoes are known for their lycopene content, a powerful antioxidant that has been linked to a reduced risk of certain cancers and heart disease.

2. Mini mozzarella balls

The 150g pack of mini mozzarella balls adds a delicious and nutritious twist to eyeball pasta. Mozzarella cheese, made from skimmed cow’s milk, is a good source of protein and provides essential amino acids for tissue repair and growth. It also contains essential nutrients such as calcium and phosphorus, which are crucial for maintaining strong bones and teeth.

3. Basil

Basil leaves not only enhance the flavor of eyeball noodles but also provide several health benefits. This aromatic herb contains essential oils such as eugenol, which has anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce inflammation in the body. Basil is also known for its antibacterial properties and helps protect against harmful bacteria.

4. Green tagliatelle

In this recipe, the 400g of green tagliatelle adds a lively touch while providing notable health benefits. Green tagliatelle are often made from spinach, which is rich in iron, folic acid and vitamin K. Vitamin K helps with blood clotting and bone health.

5. Tomato sauce

The 350g jar of tomato sauce not only enhances the taste of the eyeball noodles but also increases the nutritional value. Tomato sauce is a good source of vitamin C, which acts as an antioxidant, strengthens the immune system and protects against free radicals. It also contains lycopene, the same beneficial antioxidant found in cherry tomatoes that may provide cardiovascular benefits.

6. Fresh pesto

Last but not least, the 4 tablespoons of fresh pesto in the recipe contribute to the overall nutritional profile of the eyeball noodles. Pesto is usually made with ingredients like basil, pine nuts, garlic, and olive oil.
