  • 2 spring onions, ends trimmed
  • 4 tablespoons frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 zucchini, halved, ends trimmed
  • 2 slices of ham
  • 100g feta cheese
  • 4 eggs

Depending on your child’s age, you may need children’s scissors with metal blades or a small knife. A rotary grater is gentler on little knuckles.

Preparation steps

  1. Ask an adult helper to turn the oven on to 180°C/160°C fan/gas 4.
  2. Clean or chop the spring onions and put them in a bowl.
  3. Add the peas to the bowl.
  4. Grate the zucchini half at a time using the rotary grater and then add them to the bowl.
  5. Cut the ham into pieces with scissors. If you do this over the bowl, it will fall straight into it.
  6. Add the feta to the bowl, crumbling it with your hands.
  7. Crack the eggs into a bowl and scoop out any remaining shell with a spoon.
  8. Whisk the eggs until the yolks are mixed with the whites.
  9. Add the eggs to the other bowl and stir.
  10. Brush a round ovenproof dish with a diameter of about 16 cm with oil.
  11. Put everything in the mold.
  12. Ask a helper to place the pan in the oven for 30 minutes or until the egg is set.
  13. Serve with salad and crusty bread.
