  • 1 l sunflower or vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 85g flour
  • 2 tsp celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika powder
  • 50g butter
  • 5 tbsp hot sauce (we used Encona Original Hot Pepper Sauce)
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 4 tbsp clear honey
  • ½ small white cabbage, finely grated
  • 2 carrots, cut into sticks
  • 3 celery stalks, cut into matchsticks
  • ½ red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp celery seeds
  • 150g pack of soft blue cheese, Gorgonzola works well
  • 100 ml sour cream
  • 100g mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp white wine vinegar

Preparation steps

  1. First, prepare the slaw by combining cabbage, carrots, celery, and red onion in a bowl.
  2. In a food processor, blend the celery seeds, blue cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar and some spices until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture over the vegetables in the bowl and mix well until coated.
