Ingredients
- 100g golden syrup
- 85g butter
- 2 tbsp demerara sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 140 g porridge (if possible use organic oat flakes as they have larger flakes)
- 85g dried apricots, roughly chopped
- 50g dried pears
Preparation steps
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan 160°C/gas 4.
2. Gently heat the syrup, butter and sugar until the butter melts.
3. Stir in vanilla, oats, apricots and pears until well combined.
4. Press the mixture into an 18cm non-stick brownie tin.
5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
6. Let cool for 10 minutes.
7. Divide into 12 bars.
8. Allow to cool completely before removing.
