- Heat the butter in a small pan until it just begins to turn a nut brown color – remove it from the heat immediately or it will continue to colour. Stir in the brandy and let cool.

- Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, until the custard is thick enough to coat the back of the spoon. Let cool down.
- Whisk the cream until soft, fluffy peaks form. Fold in brandy butter and vanilla pudding mixture.
- Churn in an ice cream maker until solid, then store in the freezer for up to 2 months.

The Health Benefits of Brandy Butter Ice Cream
While eating ice cream doesn’t equate to eating healthy, it’s important to remember that some ingredients can provide surprising health benefits. Brandy butter ice cream, with its delicious blend of flavors, may actually provide some nutritional benefits.
1. Butter
Brandy Butter Ice Cream’s main ingredient, butter, contains important nutrients. Butter is a good source of vitamin A, which supports healthy vision, immune function and skin health. It also provides essential fatty acids and is a source of healthy dietary fats necessary for various body functions.
2. Brandy
The addition of brandy not only improves the taste of the ice cream but also offers health benefits when consumed in moderation. Brandy is a type of alcoholic drink made by distilling wine. It contains polyphenols, which act as antioxidants and help protect the body’s cells from damage caused by free radicals. Moderate alcohol consumption has also been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease.
3. Milk
Milk is an excellent source of calcium and vitamin D, which are essential for bone health and development. It also provides other important minerals and vitamins including vitamin B12, potassium, phosphorus and riboflavin. Incorporating milk into your diet through brandy butter ice cream can help meet your daily nutritional needs.
4 eggs
Incorporating egg yolks into this ice cream recipe adds richness and creaminess to the final product. Egg yolks are a good source of important vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E and selenium. They also contain high-quality protein, which makes brandy butter ice cream a filling treat.
5. Brown sugar
Light, soft brown sugar, used as a sweetener in this recipe, contains molasses, which provides a rich flavor. While it’s important to consume added sugar in moderation, using brown sugar instead of refined white sugar preserves some of the molasses content, which includes minerals like calcium, potassium and iron.
6. Double cream
Double Cream is a high-fat dairy product that contributes to the smooth and creamy texture of the ice cream. Although it should be enjoyed in moderation due to its calorie content, it offers a dose of healthy fats and provides energy.
It’s worth noting that while brandy butter ice cream may provide some health benefits due to its ingredients, it should still be enjoyed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. Excessive consumption can lead to weight gain and other health problems associated with high sugar and fat intake.
