  • 200g streaky bacon, cut into pieces
  • 25g popcorn kernels
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Preparation steps

  1. Add the olive oil to a large nonstick skillet with a tight-fitting lid.
  2. Add the streaky bacon. Cook for 8-10 minutes until the fat has rendered and the bacon is crispy, then transfer to a plate with a slotted spoon.
  3. Put the popcorn kernels in the pan and spread with the fatty bacon residue.
  4. Cover with a lid and cook until the corn is almost completely popped – about 4 minutes.
  5. Melt the unsalted butter in the microwave for 10 seconds.
  6. Once the popcorn has risen, brush it with the butter.
  7. Sprinkle the bacon and a little salt on top.
